Free Software
One of these days I intend to start selling some of my software as shareware, but in the meantime here are a few programs you can try for free.
- Spirotune is a program for creating MIDI format music files that I wrote about ten years ago. Since then I have rather lost interest in computer generated music, so I probably won't do any more development on this program.
- MAF is a package of programs relating to aspects of computational group theory, which produces automata required for such tasks as solving the word problem for groups and its generalisations. It also contains utilities for manipulating finite state automata. Currently this program only exists for Windows, but the source code should be readily portable to Unix/Linux based systems. Please contact me in the highly unlikely event that you are interested in this program.
- Zoom++ is a souped up version of the Zoom utility included in the Windows SDK. I find it useful for selecting pixels exactly: for example it is sometimes useful when cropping images with Paint Shop Pro. You can download Zoom++ from here. Please note that there is no installation file - just unzip the contents to the location of your choice.
